are bred and reared on five acres of lush green paddocks at the foot of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Australia.

Our Collies run free with lots of fresh air and sunshine and abundant room to bound around in a happy and well-adjusted lifestyle. 
A wholesome natural diet produces sound and healthy animals. Our experience and appreciation for the value of a true working
 dog is linked to our strong rural roots. Although most breeds today are not required to work as such, we believe retaining 
this working ability is essential to produce Collies suitable as show dogs, for obedience or just simply good companions - 
healthy in body and spirit.

The Collie has an aesthetic value shared by few other breeds. They are always willing to please with wonderful temperaments
 and a great desire to be with you. They are wonderful dogs for almost anyone. Vedamea Collies has a small, responsible 
breeding program reflecting our commitment to relevant genetic testing.

BUT, our next litters are expected mid in June, & another in late July.

The June litter will consist of  Blue Merles  AND  Tri Colours, & ready to go mid August 2009
The July litter will consist of  Sable & White AND  Tri Colours, & ready to go late September 2009

Vedamea & Swinbrad Collies make their presence known at Melbourne Royal Show on September 24th 2008, taking out the two top awards - and more -  of Best of Breed with Swinbrad Jamaica Fantasy "Chello" and Puppy Of Breed with Vedamea Double Fantasy "Fabio," who then both went on to make the "final cut" in the Working Dog Group Specials.

F antasy's N orth S tar (Imp U.S.A.) "Ty" 
  After a "dry run" at the Illawarra Collie Championship Show on Sept 14th, "Ty" made his debut into
 the show ring at the Melbourne Royal Show, & garnered Reserve Challenge Dog. As his photo depicts
 "Ty" is a born showman! Together with Swinbrad Collies, we now look forward to having as much fun
 campaigning "Ty," as he will struttin his stuff.

Meanwhile, his siring ability has been proven with his first litter arriving on October 2nd, with several
 more to follow this month. His progeny are strong and vigorous, and very flashily marked, 
and we look forward to watching them grow up as handsome and possessing the same 
dynamic personality as their sire.

"Fabio" was awarded the Best Puppy of Breed, and selected among the four finalists for Puppy In Group
 at the Melbourne Royal Show. Fabio has been trained and nurtured by his co-owner Sue Kennedy,
 who is beginning to reap the rewards for her effort, as the pair make their presence felt
 in the Victorian show ring.

This glorious bitch won the Puppy Class at the Melbourne Royal Show, whilst her cousin, 
Vedamea Double Fantasy "Fabio," wrestled "Lexie" to win Puppy of Breed. 
Already half way to her championship, "Lexie's" owners Vic & Donna Morris, are having endless
 fun in the show ring with her.

Vedamea Fantasy By Design "Prada," owned by Mim Bester & Sue Kennedy, placed 
second to Vedamea A'Lil Sin Sation in the Puppy Class.  "Parada" was also trained
 and nurtured by her co-owner Sue Kennedy, and has been yet another who is making her presence
 felt in the Victorian show ring.

"Jordi" was second in the Junior Class at The Melbourne Royal Show: his first show back in almost
 six months. During his absence "Jordi" has not been resting on his laurels, he's been having a ball
refining his Agility skills.  Trained and adored by his co-owner, Katie Tanner, Jordi will be back
 in the show ring once he's re-coated and mastered some more Agility skills.

There was never a doubt that this smooth dog was "something special!" Odin comes from the 
perfect blending of the best of American, & the best of English bloodines! 
At his first Royal Show In Melbourne, from the Minor class, Odin was awarded Reserve Challenge Dog,
  among an impressive, & full Challenge line up including his highly successful sire. 
Odin is co-owned by his breeder, Mim Bester.

Odin sends CONGRATULATIONS to his litter sister, Baqilodge Unstoppable "Matilda", 
owned by Leanne Tinsley of Western Australia for taking out her first Royal Show award of 
Bitch Challenge & Runner Up Best Of Breed, at the  Perth Royal Show last week. 
This exquisite bitch exhibited real potential from her first outing.

LATEST UPDATES......At the 9th COLLIE NATIONAL held in Melbourne on July 7th,  Vedamea Collies featured in BEST IN SHOW, RUNNER UP IN SHOW, INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW, & OPEN IN SHOW. We congratulate breeder, Mim Bester, & owner Julie  Kaden of the BEST IN SHOW WINNER, Ch: Baqilodge Paid The Piper "Dollar."  RUNNER UP IN SHOW was won by Dollars' uncle, Ch: Vedamea Knight O  Fantasy.
